Three Werner Enterprises Drivers Qualify for National Truck Driving Championships

OMAHA, Neb.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Werner Enterprises (NASDAQ: WERN), a premier transportation and logistics provider, is pleased to announce that three of our professional drivers have qualified for the National Truck Driving Championships after taking first place in their classes at the Nebraska Truck Driving Championships.

David Korkosz took first place in the Straight Truck Class, Larry Derr took first place in the Three-Axle Class and Terry Durham took first place in the Flatbed Class, earning a trip to the national competition in Indianapolis, Indiana, Aug. 10-13.

Philip Delauder Sr. took second place in the Step Van Class and Tim Dean took second place in the Tanker Class.

Eight Werner professional drivers competed in the 2016 Nebraska Truck Driving Championships on June 3-4 in Grand Island, Nebraska. The competition has four phases including a written exam, a vehicle inspection, an interview with law enforcement and a driving skills test. Winners in each class advance to the National Truck Driving Championships.
