December 19, 2014

OMAHA, Neb.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 19, 2014-- Werner Enterprises (NASDAQ: WERN), a premier transportation and logistics provider, was recently named to the eleventh annual list of FL100+ Software and Technology Providers by Food Logistics. Werner was recognized as a global supply chain and logistics leader whose practices benefit the industry by reducing food waste, extending shelf life and delivering safe and sanitary product while maintaining regulatory compliance.

“It is our responsibility to ensure the integrity of the supply chain services we provide for our customers,” said President and Chief Operating Officer Derek Leathers. “We utilize the most efficient and advanced supply chain technologies to help us achieve this goal.”

The editors of Food Logistics have recognized influential software and technology providers in the global food and beverage supply chain for more than a decade. The robust activity in the software and technology sector relative to the global food and beverage supply chain prompted the publication to expand this year’s list and rename it as the FL100+. Food Logistics is the only publication dedicated exclusively to the global food and beverage supply chain, and its FL100+ list will appear in the November/December 2014 issue.
