provider, recognized three professional drivers for their safe driving
habits during the company’s Fourth Quarter Associate Recognition
Ceremony. Professional drivers David Hutson, James Kerby and Jeffery
Koch each were presented on Dec. 9 with a 2 million safe driving miles
award at Werner’s global headquarters in Omaha, Nebraska.
“It is not only important to recognize their mileage achievements, but
also their safety records as a whole,” said Jaime Maus, vice president
of Safety and Compliance. “These highly professional drivers genuinely
are committed to safety because they know it benefits them, their
families, the company and all of those who travel next to them.”
Werner has had more than 1,400 drivers who have achieved 1 million safe
driving miles, more than 160 drivers who have reached the 2 million mile
mark, more than 10 who have reached 3 million safe driving miles,
several who have attained 4 million safe driving miles and one who has
accomplished more than 5 million safe driving miles. Professional Werner
drivers who reach safe driving milestones of 1, 2 or 3 million miles are
eligible to order a new truck and accessories as part of Werner’s
three-tiered Million Mile Safe Driver Truck Program.
