April 19, 2011

OMAHA, Neb., Apr 19, 2011 (BUSINESS WIRE) --

Werner Enterprises (NASDAQ: WERN), premier transportation and logistics provider and Naming Rights Sponsor of Werner Park, proudly celebrated the launching of a new era in Omaha's Triple-A Baseball history with the Opening Day of Werner Park on Saturday, April 16.

For the inaugural game at Werner Park, C.L. Werner, founder and chairman of Werner Enterprises, threw out the ceremonial first pitch during the pregame ceremony. "This day is in honor of the extended Werner family, our associates and professional drivers, who are a part of Werner Enterprises and Werner Global Logistics across the globe," said C.L. Werner, founder and chairman of Werner Enterprises. "The naming of Werner Park and its Opening Day are dedicated to all of them and their efforts in making us a best-in-class company. I would also like to extend my sincere thanks to everyone at Werner Enterprises and the Omaha Storm Chasers who have worked very hard to make all of this possible; I truly appreciate what they have done."
